Where to find gig economy data

  • This website provides a list of available data sources on the non-traditional workforce. For each source, there is a complementary explanation in terms of the gig work definition, the methods used, key findings, limitations, and links to reports and raw data.

  • You can find the Online Labour Index (OLI) in this website. This indicator provides an online gig economy statistic which measures the supply and demand of online freelance labour across countries and occupations by tracking the number of projects and tasks across platforms in real time.

  • You can also use the (upwork.com/press/Data trends & research) to know more about a range of studies conducted or commissioned by Upwork.
