Farnaz Ghaedipour
Farnaz Ghaedipour is a PhD candidate at DeGroote School of Business. Her overall aim of research is to understand how the contemporary design and arrangement of work affect the sense of identity, image management, and well-being of workers in the gig economy. Currently, she is investigating how digital platforms' design features and gig workers' desired identities interact to further platforms' control over workers. She is also interested in how different aspects of social identity (e.g., gender, nationality, accent) combine to shape a person’s image and evaluations at work. Prior to joining McMaster, Farnaz received her MBA from K.N. Toosi University and her B.S. in Material Science and Engineering from Sharif University of Technology
